An Abundance of Life Experience
We have been blessed by God with an abundance of life experience and wisdom, and these are great treasures to share with one another and those around us.
If you are over 60 years of age and committed to actively serving God, you belong in our Seniors Fellowship here at Peoples. Please join us as we:
- Exalt Jesus Christ through worship and praise;
- Edify believers by teaching, counselling and monthly programs; and
- Energize believers to reach out into the community.
Saturday, September 10 • 10:30 AM • Gym
* Please note that we will be gathering on the second Saturday of the month – not the usual third Saturday.
This month, Dr. Paul Roberts will share the remarkable story of his father, Watkin Roberts, in bringing the Word of God to the headhunting Hmar tribe of northeast India at the turn of the last century. A video presentation of the India Children’s Choir from the Hills of Manipur will follow. Lunch will also be served. If you are interested in attending this event, the cost is $8. Please contact us to make your reservation. Iona, 416.783.5581
Seniors Exercise Program
Tuesdays, 3:00 PM • Thursdays 12:30 PM • E102
Stay healthy, active and independent by joining our free seniors exercise program! Participants who are 65 and over must complete a brief telephone assessment by the CCAC prior to starting the program. Please register in advance by calling 416.222.2241 x 6444.
We hold chapel services in the local hospital to encourage patients and share Christ’s love with them.
More than 40 dedicated individuals from our fellowship make phone calls to senior members of the congregation each month. These calls allow us to keep in touch and offer prayer and support.
Please contact us to share your phone number if you would like to receive our calls.
The Mature Times
The Mature Times is a bi-monthly publication with articles written by those who are part of our Seniors Fellowship. Be sure to pick up your copy when you join us for our monthly gathering.
