Giving & Serving

Serving in the Church

We would love to help you find your place of service in the church.

Helping Hands and Willing Hearts

The good things you experience here at Peoples are made possible by the helping hands and willing hearts of those around you.

In fact, on Sunday morning, you probably experience the benefit of at least a half-dozen volunteers by the time you simply find a seat—and that’s only one example.

When you join in serving, you will not only bless others, but you will also make friends and contribute to our common purpose in God’s global mission.

If this is your first time serving at The Peoples Church, please fill out this First Serve Application.

Serving Directory

We always have openings in various kinds of serving roles within the church, and we would love to help you find yours. As you consider the unique abilities God has given you, please see what you can do in our Serving Directory.

Debt Coaches

Beginning in September • The Peoples Church

The Peoples Church is in partnership with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) – a charitable organization with goals that include providing money management tools and debt counselling. We currently offer the CAP Money course to our congregation and community. We would like to go further by opening up a Debt Centre, and we are currently looking for volunteers to become Debt Coaches. This is a role that requires no financial background (that part is handled by CAP) but does require a heart for those in financial difficulties and for those who do not yet know the Lord. The job requires a commitment of 5 days training at the CAP HQ in Hamilton and 16 hours per week for meeting with people using the church facilities and interfacing with CAP. The key role is to engage with people in the community, build relationships, share your faith and assist them through CAP in managing debt issues. If you are interested in becoming a Debt Coach, please contact Doug.
