Join us for an unforgettable multi-generational Visit & Learn journey to Colombia—where vibrant culture, meaningful ministry, and life-shaping relationships come together. This trip invites families and individuals of all ages to step into a dynamic partnership with Fundación Doulos near Barranquilla as we learn, serve, and grow together.
What You’ll Be Part Of
- Campfire English Immersion Camp
Help plan and host Campfire, a unique overnight English immersion camp for Colombian teens. From creative activities to shared meals and late-night conversations, you’ll build authentic connections while helping students grow in confidence and language skills. - Community Conversation Clubs
Practice English with locals in relaxed, joyful settings. These clubs open the door to real friendships, cultural exchange, and mutual encouragement. - Ministry Visits & Hands-On Learning
Travel through the region to meet and learn from local ministries connected to Fundación Doulos. Participate in church-based outreach, community development initiatives, and other opportunities shaped around the gifts of the team and the needs on the ground. Every encounter offers a chance to listen, serve, and discover how God is moving in Colombia.
Who Can Join?
This is a multi-generational team, open to families, couples, and individuals of all ages who are eager to learn, build relationships, and step into cross-cultural ministry.
Requirements
To help ensure the team is prepared, safe, and ready to serve well, participants will need:

A valid passport (not expiring within 6 months of travel).

Participate in team meetings and training before departure.

Openness to cross-cultural learning, flexibility, and a heart to serve under local leadership.

Physical ability to handle warm climates, moderate activity, and full ministry days.

Completion of all forms and payments before the deadline.

Police check / vulnerable sector screening (required for adults).

A teachable, team-oriented attitude—essential for serving well together.
Preparation Commitment (35+ Hours)
In addition to being fully present during the trip, each team member will be asked to invest time and effort before and after the journey, including:

Completing at least five training modules, such as Spiritual Readiness and Cultural Sensitivity.

Participating in at least four team meetings focused on team building, vision, prayer, and logistics.

Engaging with assigned reading and videos to understand the context, culture, and ministry partners.

Working both independently and collaboratively on tasks such as generating ideas, sourcing supplies, and preparing a personal testimony or devotional.
This preparation equips the team to serve well, support one another, and deeply engage with what God is doing through our partners in Colombia.
Cost
Approx. $3,000 per person
This includes flights, transportation, accommodations, meals, and support for local churches and ministries. (Personal treats not included!) Each participant must have the full amount covered in advance, either through personal savings or fundraising.
