Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus,
the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

– Hebrews 12:1-2

Brett McBride

Lead Pastor, The Peoples Church

More about Brett

Brett followed God’s call from rural Ontario to inner city mission, where he met his wife, Stephanie. Brett and Stephanie are deeply rooted in Christ and they live to share the Word of God with the world.

Brett lived out his calling as a frontline youth worker, raising up leaders among children and youth in urban neighbourhoods. After years on the frontline, he became the Executive Director of Urban Promise, until God led him to minister here at The Peoples Church as the Lead Pastor.

Brett recharges by playing basketball with his two sons, snowboarding, jogging and reading.

This year’s Fair Trade Market featured artisans with goods from all around the world. From coffee and chocolate, to clothing and jewellery, every purchase
you made had an impact.

You can continue to shop with our vendors by visiting them online! Check out our vendor list below for details.

Why Fair Trade?

When businesses operate with profit as their sole objective, workers are exploited, the environment is polluted, and our natural resources are depleted.

In contrast, social enterprises use business practices to create positive change in the world. They contribute to sustainable development through innovations in healthcare, renewable energy, micro-finance and much more.

Social enterprises empower communities and create fair employment opportunities for the world’s poorest and most marginalized groups.
