When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
– 1 Corinthians 15:54-57
Our theme this year is VICTORIOUS, and comes from 1 Corinthians 15. Death has no victory or sting, it tells us (vs 55), for through our Lord Jesus Christ we have the victory over sin and death (vs 57). This truth will set the tone for our gatherings and be reflected in the lyrics of the songs we sing together. Our theme song is a new song we learned during Sunday service, called My Victory by David Crowder. Join us as we declare these words together! This Easter Sunday, we’ll also be baptizing over two-dozen Christ-filled, victorious people!
