What is Live Translation?
Live translation is a simple way to experience our services in the language you’re most comfortable with. As the message is shared, it’s translated in real time and displayed on your device—so you can follow along, understand clearly, and feel fully included.
Why are we offering Live Translation?
At Peoples, we believe the message of Jesus is for everyone. Live translation helps remove language barriers so that more people can hear, understand, and respond—no matter where they’re from or what language they speak.
How does it work?
During the service, the message is translated in real time and sent directly to your phone. Just connect, choose your language, and follow along in real time.
What languages are available?
Live translation offers a wide range of languages, enabling people from diverse backgrounds to engage with what’s happening in the service.
How do I get started?
It’s easy:
- Scan the QR code when you arrive, or click the link above.
- Select your preferred language
Do I need to download anything?
No, you do not need to download – just scan the QR code and begin
Optionally, if you want to listen you can download the app and use your ear buds to listen.
Does Live Translation work for livestrem?
The live translation function only works for in-person (onsite) services.
Who is this for?
Live Translation is for anyone who would benefit from it, including:
- Those who prefer a language other than English
- Guests who are new to Canada
- People who find it helpful to read along
- Those who are hard of hearing
What parts of the service are translated?
Live Translation works best for spoken portions of the service, such as:
- The sermon
- Scripture readings
- Announcements
Some elements—like music or spontaneous moments—may not always translate perfectly, but we’re continually working to improve the experience.
How accurate is it?
Live translation is designed to be clear and helpful, especially for church settings. While no translation is perfect, it does a strong job of capturing the meaning of what’s being shared.
Does this replace in-person connection or support?
Not at all. Live translation is one way we’re making our church more accessible, but relationships, community, and care across languages will always be at the heart of who we are.
