Since 1973, Living Truth has been sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with Canadians & people across the world. Your faithful prayers and generous support have made this ministry possible — and for that, we are deeply grateful.
From the beginning, Living Truth has been committed to presenting the unchanging truths of Scripture in a way that connects with today’s ever-changing world. Through the faithful partnership of people like you, Living Truth became Canada’s longest-running nationwide church broadcast, reaching countless homes and hearts across generations.
The Media Landscape Has Shifted
As times have changed, so has the way people engage with media. Over the past five years, Living Truth weekly television viewership has dropped by more than 50%, while our internet-based, online community continues to grow by 33% every year. Meanwhile, despite significant reductions in broadcast expenses over the past 5 years, the number of faithful donors has decreased by 42%, and overall donations continue to decline by about 15% each year.
This has placed Living Truth in an ongoing deficit situation. After much prayer, careful consideration, and guidance from our Board, we recognized that continuing to produce and broadcast a television program — and to print and mail monthly devotionals — is no longer a sustainable stewardship of the resources God has entrusted to us.
Because of these realities, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to conclude the Living Truth television broadcast and printed devotional mailings as of August 31, 2025.

Why is the Living Truth television broadcast ending?
Television viewership has dropped over 50% in recent years, while production and broadcasting costs continue to rise. Despite cost-cutting efforts, faithful donor support has declined by 42%, leading to an ongoing deficit. After much prayer and careful review, we believe shifting fully to digital platforms is the best stewardship of the resources God has entrusted to us.
Will the printed booklets of My Journey with Christ devotionals still be available?
In short, no. With the focus on digital platforms we will no longer print devotional booklets and instead invite everyone to sign up for the daily email of My Journey with Christ with a new format beginning August 31. The new format will invite subscribers to review what they learned on Sunday and go deeper by applying God’s truths each day. It will include links to watch the sermon, worship music videos, plus for folks unable to join us in-person, they’ll be able to click and join us at 11:30am for the live service from YouTube.
How can I continue to hear sermons and music from Living Truth & The Peoples Church?
You can stay connected in several ways:

What will I need to watch the sermon and worship service live each Sunday from YouTube?
Great question. You’ll need: a smartphone, tablet (iPad or other), a computer, or a smart tv. Your device will need to have access to the internet.
Each Sunday, open the My Journey With Christ email and click the link to watch the livestream of the service. From a smart TV you will use the YouTube app to search for The Peoples Church – Toronto and click.

Tell me more about the Sunday service livestream and sermons on YouTube?
Well, the advantage of the digital platforms means we no longer have a 30-minute tv-broadcast, format constraint. When you view the Sunday service on YouTube (live or afterward) you will be able to watch the entire service, all the singing, all the prayers, and the full sermon. And if you miss it live, you can watch the recording or other content anytime directly from our YouTube channel.
Will the audio of the sermons be available via podcast platforms?
Yes, all the full sermons are available uploaded every Monday to both Apple Podcasts and Spotify. (The Peoples Church – Sermons)
Will Living Truth Donors continue to receive monthly mailings?
Great question! In short no, as we continue to work at being great stewards of God’s physical Kingdom and of the gifts that God has given us, we have decided to cease sending monthly mailings. We believe that we can stay connected with you by email and through the many digital platforms that we have at our fingertips!
Will Living Truth continue to exist?
Glad you asked.
TV – The television program will no longer air on standard broadcast tv channels.
WEBSITE: For the immediate future most of our Living Truth digital properties will become a landing page with messaging to re-direct everyone to The Peoples Church channels.
EMAIL/FACEBOOK: The daily devo – My Journey with Christ — will continue to be branded as Living Truth with the addition of the The Peoples Church logo. We will maintain the Living Truth Facebook page where we will continue to post the daily devo content.
Currently we are also planning new ways to leverage the Living Truth digital properties – yet to be imagined.
