Summer Camp is ____________. There are many different ways we can complete this statement. Our hope is that your child will finish this statement with words of astonishment and wonder of who God is. We want to see kids Move from a place of knowing about God to having a deeper relationship with the God who created them. The Peoples Church invites all children ages 4-11 to join in on seven weeks of exciting activities and amazing Bible stories. There are also volunteer opportunities available for those who are in Jr. High and High School. Everyone involved will be motivated by the Gospel to live out their faith every day. By the end of the week, we want your child to have a context of the bigger story of God’s love and how we are each a part of it.
Who they are and who they were before their trial
We will be looking at a beatitude that relates to the character we will be looking at for the week.
We all go through trails, for whatever reason we think that those trials are bigger than God; this is not the case.
Fruit of the Spirit
What is it about these characters that make them Christ like
Who they are in Christ and after the trail they have been through
There are many Bible time built into the day and each one has a very specific focus., each with a specific focus. Morning Bible Time is where the day’s lesson is introduced. Followed by Small Group Time where your child will get to dig deeper in the story of the day. Faith Skills is an amazing time where we focus on spiritual disciplines like prayer or service. In between each of these Bible times there will be activities that will allow your child to move in a different way.
We are looking forward to spending time with your child as we learn how Move helps us see God’s one big story in a new way.
Other Important Info
We are excited to get into summer with Move!, There are just a few things that we would like to bring to your attention.
First what to bring everday:
- Packed Lunch (nut-free, please)
- Water Bottle
- Running Shoes
- Extra clothes just in case.
By having these items at Move!, it will ensure that your child will get the most out of their day. We will not be going on any “out” trips this year, but we have some amazing days planned that are filled with Bible learning, arts and crafts, and many other action-packed activities.
We will need each attending child to fill out a new health form even if they have attended camp in years past. Please have it filled out either ahead of time or when registering on the first day at camp.
Click here to download the health form.
Just like Sunday mornings, Move!, is a nut-free environment. Please do not pack any food that may contain nuts as we strive to provide a safe environment for all. Also, if you pack any food items like Wow Butter, please indicate that on their lunch.
