Employment Mentor

Support Newcomers by providing employment or career mentorship to help Newcomers learn about Canadian workplace culture, enhance strategies for effective job search, resume writing, interview prep and establishing professional networks through the quarterly Employment Workshop.

• A personal and growing relationship with Christ
• A welcoming and hospitable demeanor towards Newcomers to Canada
• Display patience and cultural awareness
• Experience with resume writing, job coaching, and connecting job seekers to employers
• A strong command of the English language

• We ask for 1 year commitment of serving
• Mentoring - roughly 1-2 hours per week or 3-4 hours per month (flexible)
• Employment Workshop - 2-4 hours per quarter
