We welcome all newcomers to Canada with compassion, connection, and community. Our events, programs, and resources are designed to help newcomers settle in, and make new friendships with other internationals and Canadians!

Newcomers to Canada Fellowship

Is this your first year in Canada? If you are a recent newcomer to Canada, we extend a warm invitation to join us! We are a welcoming and diverse space where newcomers to Canada can find connection and community in their life and faith journey.

We gather every Sunday to have lunch together as we share stories and discuss topics on faith and migration.

ESL Bible Study

ESL Classes

* Registration is currently closed for all ESL classes.

Our ESL classes are designed to help nurture English skills and Canadian cultural understanding in a welcoming and caring community. This is also a great opportunity to develop friendships with other students who are learning English!

In-Person Classes

  • Date: Every Tuesday (beginning January 16)
  • Time: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
  • Locations: W201, W202, W302

Online Classes

  • Date: Every Thursday (beginning January 18)
  • Time: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
  • Our online classes offer two English levels – Basic and Advanced

Events

Maple Syrup Farm

Come and learn about a fabulous Canadian tradition. Tickets include maple syrup demonstrations, activities, games, and more!

Cost:

  • Adults (Ages 14-64) $11.50 +HST
  • Seniors (Ages 65+) $9.50 +HST
  • Children (Ages 4-13) $7.45 +HST
  • Children (Ages 3 & under) FREE with adult purchase

Transportation:

Bus transportation will be available. You can drive yourself if preferred. Parking cost is extra ($4.80 + HST).

Food:

Please have lunch before coming. At the Maple Syrup Farm, All-Day Breakfast is available for an extra cost.

Employment Workshops

The Employment Workshop is an event for newcomers to network and learn about establishing careers in Canada.

This event is hosted by the Newcomers Network Employment Mentoring Program – a welcoming program that seeks to guide, enhance, and support newcomers in establishing their careers in Canada through personal employment mentorship.
